Road Worlds for Seniors isn’t just a cycling competition. We aim to engage people in various ways, which is why we launched the "Artist of the Year" competition last year.

The criteria are simple: use RWS as the theme—whether it’s colors, people, cycling, etc. Beyond that, it’s completely open to personal interpretation. Art is art!

Many beautiful entries were submitted (see a few photos below), but in the end, the chosen winner was a hat knitted by Jean Gable (90), a resident of Charrington Manor Care Home in England.

Knitted in Just a Few Hours

Jean is no newcomer to knitting; she regularly donates hats for newborns to the local hospital.

In fact, it took Jean only a few hours from being challenged to create an "Artist of the Year" entry to finish the hat — in perfect RWS colors! All this in between cycling sessions.

We also have a "Picture of the Year" award, which will be announced soon.
